In the beginning, she denied the existence of any sex tape and claimed that she will file a lawsuit against the person who released it. However, later accepted the fact that legal right to distribute the tape was sold to the Vivid Video Company for 1 million dollars.

The money was claimed to be used for someone in need. The company titled the tape as “Kim Kardashian superstar featuring hip-hop star Ray J”. The chairman, Mr. Steven Hirsch, of Vivid Video Company announced that the running time of the tape was 30 minutes and contained visuals of extreme intimacy between the couple, which fans will find appealing. The Kim Kardashian tape was shot by Ray J when he and Kim Kardashian were in a relationship and decided to release it after they called off their relation.

After the release of the Kim Kardashian tape, Ray J could not be reached for a comment but Kim announced legal action anyone responsible for the humiliation caused to her.
